What subjects and services do you offer?

I specialize in:
  • Language Arts (essay writing, grammar, reading, and phonics).
  • Social Studies (grades 6-12).
  • Test Preparation (FAST, Florida Civics Literacy Exam, SAT, ACT, AP English and History. Excluding Math.)
  • Specialized support for students with dyslexia and learning differences.
  • IEP/504 Plan support and advocacy.

Where do tutoring sessions take place?

I offer flexible options:
  • In-home tutoring (in a shared family space).
  • Public locations (such as libraries).
  • Online via Zoom (other platforms available upon request).

What areas do you serve?

For in-person tutoring, I serve:
  • Oldsmar-Westchase area.
  • Lutz/Land O’Lakes.
  • South Tampa.
  • Clearwater.
  • Dunedin.
  • East Lake.

Online tutoring is available to students anywhere, preferably in Eastern Time Zone.

What are your rates?

My standard rates are:
  • In-person tutoring: $40/hour.
  • Online tutoring: $25/hour Sessions can be scheduled in multiple-hour blocks as needed.

What age groups do you work with?

I work with:
  • Elementary school students.
  • Middle school students.
  • High school students.
  • College undergraduates.

What are your hours of availability?

Regular hours are Monday-Friday, 10 AM – 7 PM
Weekend sessions are available by special arrangement.

What are your qualifications?

I hold:
  • BA in History from American University.
  • Master’s in History from UMBC
  • 30 hours of graduate-level Special Education coursework from Johns Hopkins.
  • Training in Orton-Gillingham methods.
  • Experience teaching in specialized schools for students with learning differences.
  • Former Advanced Professional Teaching Certification (6-12 Social Studies).

How do online sessions work?

Online sessions are conducted primarily through Zoom. I’ll provide:
  • A meeting link and password.
  • Technical setup assistance if needed.
  • The same personalized attention as in-person sessions.

Do you require any contracts or commitments?

No, sessions are arranged on an as-needed basis, and no long-term contracts are required.
